I joined Deepend Digital Agency in 2015 as a .NET Developer. I then became Lead Developer, Solution Architect then Technical Director in 2017.
Besides directly managing the tech-team and the development of many high-profile clients'
projects, I have great fun with the guys chasing after the
cutting-edge technologies and managed to stay at the top-of the game regarding technology
An example of a pure joy that we had, was when we proposed and delivered an architecture for a highly available and scalable site servicing millions of sessions for just AU$15/mth of AWS infrastructure cost (true story) . Either that or when Facebook decided to change their React v16 license to MIT.
Outside working hours, I spend quality time with my family; and when they went to sleep, I work on my freelancing projects.
Having trained myself just to sleep an average of 4 hours every day, I have many extra productive hours to research, explore, code or design technical solutions to help my own clients success with their digital platform.
I started coding when I was 6 years old.
I created my first commercial app when I was 10. The software, written in Visual Basic, was the very first digital math textbook for Primary school students in Vietnam.
In the 2000s, I've won several awards from international Computer Science competitions in Thailand, Singapore and Japan. In 2004, I created an extension to Internet Explorer to filter websites and made them safer to Vietnamese children; with that invention I was awarded the golden medal by the World Intellectual Property Organisation, one of the United Nations agencies.
In 2009, I got an Advanced Diploma in Computer Science in 2009, when I was 17 years old and haven't yet completed high school.
I came to Australia in 2011 to study and graduated in 2013 top of the class.
